What to bring on extended fishing trips.

  • Rain Gear good quality rain gear is a must. Gore Tex is no match for Alaska’s wilds. Helly Hanson’s brand Impertech is a 100% rubber rain coat that can withstand Alaska’s damp coast.
  • Full length Gore-Tex waders with felt soles
  • Boots. Rubber knee high boots (Xtra tuff)
  • Synthetic socks (Bridgedale, Smartwool) 3 pair.
  • Headlamp (Petzl Myo XP)
  • Camera extra film, batteries (water proof case)
  • Tennis shoes
  • Toiletries
  • Water Proof duffel bag (large boundary waters II Cabelas)
  • long underwear ( 4 way stretch) 2 pair tops and bottoms
  • Fleece Coat
  • Fleece Pants
  • T-Shirts
  • Stocking cap
  • Water Bottle (Nalgene)
  • Sunglasses
  • Baseball Cap
  • Personal gear. Don't forget to pack personal items such as medications, reading material, etc.
