ROCKFISH & LINGCOD FISHING

PRINCE WILLIAM SOUND

DATES: June through August
PRICE: ask for price
DURATION: 4 days/3 nights

* Includes Halibut fishing.

THE EXPERIENCE

Generous limits, fast action, and great eating, all add to the fun. Hold on to your rod!

Black Sea Bass, Yelloweye Rockfish (Red Snapper), Tiger, China, and Dusky Rockfish all inhabit the deep waters of Prince William Sound. Method of fishing is targeting underwater ledges and rock pinnacles. Small jigs with light gear are proven techniques.

Lingcod, for anyone who has never fished for Lings, run large - up to 40-60lbs is the norm. Same fishing techniques used in harvesting Rockfish are used to persuade these large toothy critters into biting. The firm white delicate flesh is perhaps some of the best eating fish in the Pacific Northwest. Light tackle and secret holes make Ling fishing in Prince William Sound tough to beat.

During the Rockfish/Lingcod season, barn door-sized Halibut are an added bonus! This trip is combined with the extended Halibut trips when in season. Rockfish limits vary by species - each client is allowed 2 Rockfish (non-pelagic) and 6 Black Sea Bass (pelagic). Your captain will make sure each client has his or her share of the excitement in harvesting some great eats!
